We love using whole grains in our Journey Bars, particularly quinoa.  And one of our favorite things to do is experiment with new recipes with a high nutritional value. You never know when the inspiration will strike for a new savory Journey Bar flavor. Over the last few weeks, we've tried a number of different quinoa recipes - and picked our favorites to share with you today!

1. Honey-Lime Quinoa Stuffed Sweet Potatoes

This is a super flavorful recipe we found on CookingClassy.com. This quinoa recipe features three of my favorites: Black Beans, Quinoa and Sweet Potatoes. It's also perfect for fall!

2. Jalapeno Popper Quinoa Bites

Special props to Alida’s Kitchen for this tasty treat. Cheesy, and not too spicy I could eat these little poppers all day.

4. Grilled Mediterranean Chicken and Quinoa Salad

Your perfect summer salad. Thanks to SkinnyTaste.com for bringing this recipe to my attention. It's packed with amazing veggies, but I also added some zucchini to the mix.

5. Quinoa Fritters With Garlic Aioli

Who doesn't love fritters? I found this recipe on Mind Body Green and made it the next day. I slightly charred my first attempt, but quickly recovered. The rest of the batch was a crunchy treat.
